They are short handed as one of them sadly just lost his wife but if you leave a message should get back to you quickly. The have the exact same computer access as crew scheduling and can quickly confirm the coverage.
I suspect you will find the other pilot was not legal for one reason or another. He may have had a 30 hr off in 7 issue or 100 in 28 ect...
