Sure F9 has a wayyy better contract than we do. But think about it? Probably 12 months of seniority list integration, then maybe some kind of fence before G4 guys can bid DEN -320 or F9 guys can bid PIE -80, then maybe a little bit after that we get they're contract and work rules. Meanwhile, lots of divisive infighting and our upgrade time goes from 1 year to 5 years.
The only good things I can think of would be:
1. A contract, which is at least 12-18 months away. Assuming we get anything good without going on strike. So, unless the union is holding something back, there is no way we're going to get a TA put in front of us is the next couple of days.
2. Another random pay raise, basically a method of bribing us to de-certify (which probably won't work) although hey, more money is more money right?
3. More international routes and maybe some heavy equipment coming on the property?
Thoughts?
Slow down there dude. We got trolled big time.
1. Nobody keep any really big secrets that well. Everyone saw the UsAir/American merger a million miles away. Worst kept secret ever was that merger. No matter what confidentiality agreements are signed, someone will blab.
2. Good news would pimp up the stock price. It is well past opening time for the stock market. There would have been news by now.
3. I think there would have been some hints by management. Again, nobody keeps big secrets that well.
We got trolled big time. There is no point torturing yourself with hypothetical scenarios.
