i try and read the PWA and its like a foreign language. i promise have tried to read section 23 N & O. The follow on question is.... can i call scheduling and politly say i am new and stupid and to please edumacate me without ****ing anyone off and getting fired before i get off probation? i just don't really get how they award reserve and I am too stupid to understand the PWA. I called about this very item and a very rude scheduler basically told me to go eff off without actually dropping an f-bomb. Then I got the punitive 3am short call the next 3 days in a row, so you YMMV when you call scheduling with gripes. Scheduling is the drive-thru, I'd call ALPA before scheduling.
BTW, what I am 69% certain of is they like to (and can legally) fill a 3 day trip with a guy that has 3 days availability and not waste somebody who has 5 days regardless of what bucket you're in.
