V1, Another thing to remember is that reserves get a 2hour call out in JFK. So that may give you a few more options, maybe in NJ or Conn. But for the most part you are going to need roommates. I think the line between permanent residence and a crash pad are pretty blurred in the JFK domicile.
Comair is a good regional airline. The people there are fantastic. I enjoyed my time there. The problem is that it is a regional airline. the pay is low and the reserve system is tough on the pilots. The schedulers are for the most part nice folks, they just have to work in a substandard system. Just remember, Comair is a good place to pay your dues and get some jet experience. Comair is not a career airline! Good luck and have fun.
