Not exactly. If you're first scheduled IOE trip is on the 200, you'll do your subsequent IOE trips leading up to your line check in the 200. After your line check is complete, you'll be released to fly the 200 out on the line. OOE in the 7/9 will happen "soon-ish" thereafter. It can a few weeks to get OOE scheduled after your line check depending on Check Airmen availability.
IOE can also happen in the 7/9, which can be interchanged. I did my first IOE trip on the 700 and then my next trip, which included the line check was on the 900. OOE on the 200 occurred a week after.
