I'm glad I see this now before going over there...I think we may have a new bottom feeder here.
Well, I would have to call foul on that. I strongly disagree with not positive spacing you to training, but so far most either live in MSP or like myself chose to drive my car so I would have it during training. Either way I wouldn't have used the pass even if they offered.
Since I spent about 1.5 years under Mesa's contract while working for Air Midwest, I can vouch for the difference so far. Granted I am not out of training yet and we are not even done with proving runs. When I started training for Air Midwest, we went to class 6 days a week and I didn't stay at the Marriot Residence Inn. They also made a point to say if we absolutely needed to go home during training that they would find a way to work it out for us. I know a guy at Air Midwest that was denied going to his own dad's funeral because they didn't have coverage...I don't even have words for that.
I would say that the training is quite a bit more advanced as well. With the IPT's instead of a cardboard cockpit (CPT). The people have been extremely pleasant to work with so far as well.
I know of course that it is an airline though, which by default means that is inherantly evil so I know I will get it sooner or later.
