Only 3-4 (give or take) planes overnight in TYS and there's no maintenance hangar. CAK has more planes overnighting along with a maintenance hanger and it's not a crew base.
CVG will probably have at least 7-8 planes overnighting once the ORD flying starts.
It might be just a guess, but my money is on TYS closing at some point in the next 12 months. It might not be right when CVG opens but I'd put my money on it shrinking and closing at some point. It's too bad for all the TYS lifers.
Eagle does most ORD/DFW. No way PSA will do all that.... One carrier doing so much in one city isn't smart business. Especially with the number of flights AA does out of CVG.... One PSA staffing issue, computer, work/contract, etc would essentially ruin 30+ flights a day out of a city...
