Excellent post based on reality. The truth hurts. We vested our trust and careers in the hands of demonstrated failed leaders.

The independent FYIGM crowd - represented often by the likes of Rock and FDXLAG - only see the short term. They're posts are hopeless examples of antagonistic, pessimists unwilling to show any true unity or resolve. They will never get it because they can't see past the short term $ gains. Fearful of the unknown, they fold like a cheap suit and call uncle. They argue ... I like the improvements. They only see the surface. Completely lost in the big picture.

The acceptance of this mediocre TA represents an insidious, steady decline in career value. No pilot group on the planet does what we do in breadth and scope of ops. We deserve better. I agree with Brad, it's simple cowardice. No fight in them whatsoever.

Instead of digging in and actually fighting (which plenty of unions have done throughout the industry), the YES group is easily bought and placated. Keep your expectations low and you'll rarely be disappointed. Mr. Mouse ... Meet Mr. Cat.

It's simple. This entire 6 year TA is paid for with one single annual 4.9% customer cost increase. Really? It's true. Ask the CFO.

Clearly the company is maxed out and just cannot find added funds to pay the highest revenue generating pilots in the world ... at least no more than COLA. Gotta call BS on that. TNT is $4.9 Billion. The cash is waiting in an account and WE funded it.

One more thing ... don't forget how motivated the company is to jump into the new healthcare provisions. Shared costs and excise taxes. Hmmm ... current book looks much better on my end.

I'm associated with this mediocrity by default and I'm embarrassed by it. Never been more disappointed in my 25+ year career.
