Been at Allegiant for about a year. I've never been TDY'd or had a scheduled overnight. Hotels for training are top notch. Mini kitchens and some hotels even have free breakfast, dinner and beer. First year pay sucks. It's not as bad here as some keyboard warriors make it out to be. It's way better in many ways than my old regional. It's worse in a few ways too. Overall big quality of life improvement for me in the long run.
That is just my two cents.
I agree 100% with this statement. I've been TDY a couple of times and have no complaints other than the per diem being $1/hr. Hotels (w/ mini kitchen and/or fridge), Flights to/from base, and car rentals were all taken care of.
Of course, some things could be managed much better, but so far so good. Much better than regional life.
