I wouldn't recommend commuting here at all. An inter-FL commute might be okay, but not as a junior FO and that sounds like a lot of miles on your car. Unless you can work something out and ride on Silver Airways, they do some inter-FL stuff.
Also, although FL is junior, guys do get sent out west sometimes. If you get the MD-80 you'll be a VBD (constantly TDY'd FO).
Take our hourly rates and assume min guarantee (70) hours every month. Some months you will break it and make money, but others you definitely won't by design. As the AE guys are familiar with this place is big on "line balancing."
