I'm just under 40% in MSP with 16 days off this month, though that may partially be due to the recent increase in pairing quality here.
It's not about PNing and CNing, it's about seeing trips that you bid for get awarded to guys far more junior than you...and they didn't even want those trips, nor did they bid for them. Yet you bid for these trips, and you don't get them.
Admittedly as a junior guy I have also benefited from this. My first month holding a line, I got a bunch of 8-leg, 25-hour 4-day -700 trips that my seniority could not possibly have held (and which I didn't even bother bidding for), while guys way senior to me were getting the classic Brojet trips...you know, the 20-leg, 17-hour credit 4-days -200 trips.
I mean, for crying out loud, I intentionally bid to fly 4-days over Memorial Day weekend and also July 4 weekend. I didn't even care what kind of trips they were, I just bid to fly those days. As a very junior lineholder...I got both of those long weekends completely off, while very senior FOs who bid for those days off were forced to fly those days. Does that make any sense to you? Not to me.
