I have applied to a bunch of places and still waiting for a phone call. I'm doing my research on companies. I need my hours and I'm trying to get them asap. Most of the 135 operators will have old equipment and people will have something negative to say all the time. Again I just need my hours. QOL is a big thing for me, since I have a family, but it is what it is.

1,500 hrs was a great thing - you just can't see it because you are only concerned your immediate problems and unable to look at long terms benefits/effects; also - saying that this only comes from people who have already passed a certain milestone is wrong since MANY MANY pilots before a certain subset had to have MUCH more than 1500 hrs to get even that coveted regional (commuter) flying job.

The times change, hiring changes, conditions and experience required change. Deal with the conditions that are currently present in your path to your goal.

Learn about the airlines - the good and the bad - and make a decision that you THINK best suites your requirements at the time and will get you to where you want to be in the future. You won't know if it was the right move until further down the line.
