Unless you know The big mouth in the back of the room complaining that the union sold him out...how do you know what he's doing.
If he's a FDA commuter, he has a point. The way some of the folks have used the contract was unanticipated by the company. Don't know who's the King of HK currently, but the TA has permissive language that would allow HILO to continue as is. Just don't know whether he'd have the power to do so.
If not, perhaps a new way to game the system...you get X hours of delays and can check in 2 days early. You can expense 1 hotel room. So, perhaps a delay out w/ a DH to/from Hawaii-1 Hotel room in Hawaii with a DH back to a 2 day early check-in.
Or if it's cheaper to do the 6 day hotel expense vice the DH ticket, perhaps the king of HK will approve it
