Don't just look at the flow as getting to American. Look at it as a QOL issue. You'll get hired, move up the FO list, Move up the Captain list. I was an FO here for 5 years, two of which was straight reserve. You'll have such a better QOL then I did while moving towards the FLOW. If American isn't what you want then you'll have the PIC time to apply to the carrier of your choice.
