Default STV vs Atlas Out-Basing

I guess our STV clause could be worse; we could be getting no days off.

Atlas has an Out-Basing option in their contract where pilots can bid for such assignments. The definition: "An out-base assignment will have no scheduled or required days off except as may be required by applicable FARs."

For this up to 33-day Reserve period, one is compensated with 105 CH versus a normal 62 CH guarantee (roughly 170% of normal). Our STV equivalent of 72 CH would be 122 CH (not responsible for errors in public math ).

Guess I shouldn't be giving the NC any bright ideas (he said sarcastically). The sad part is that we all know there are bunch of DP takers and other flying ho's who would jump at the chance to do something similar. Never mind that it (just like STV) would be a huge concession to our highly profitable company.
