Any hotel on the south side of the strip (Luxor and Imperial Palace are usually cheap) should be a quick cab ride, and you can take Uber back to the hotel. It might be cheaper overall to just get a rental car.
Lots of the guys in training stay at the Residence Inn by the airport which is about 10 min from Avenger.
