The company wants you to vote NO. They need pilots at PSA. They got their cost savings 12 year cap. If we only have 4 pilots per month leave then that helps them.

This company is very reactive, today we don't have a problem staffing, so they are offering voluntary leaves. Tomorrow they might have an issue. And what if PSA is having trouble hiring?
What do you think they will do?
Offer the pilots more flow positions? Why in a time of staffing issues will they offer the chance for more people to leave? It's beyond ridiculous.

So what would they do?
Offer the people here a bonus? $5000. Not a chance.
If PSA ever has trouble finding pilots they will do only one thing. Offer a signing bonus. They will never ever ever do anything for the people on property. Why? Because they don't have to. You are already here.
Doing something nice for people on property will do nothing to attract new hires. It might retain some people but lets face it. The first chance you get to fly for a major your outta here. Am i right?

Hey i get it. I'd like to stick it to the company as well. But here is a rare opportunity where the company and the employees win.
We get something, they get something.

Or you can vote no and get nothing. Ever. Other than slower progression, longer reserve times and perhaps working holidays that you could have had off.

If you think the company is going to come back before 2023 you are very mistaken. At least this TA requires them to come back in a year. And can you imagine if we grow to a 2000 pilot airline? And only have 4 flows a month? At least this TA increases it, what does a NO vote do?

When the TA first came out, I was a no voter. Now I'm a yes voter. The numbers and language regarding increases are not what I hoped for. Thinking long term though, our management would probably let the wheels come completely off before ever offering improvements to compensation and work rules to the entire pilot group. Other airlines are getting new contracts, increasing first year pay and better work rules across the board. The best we will ever see is a tiny signing bonus for first year FOs and that is it.
