P.S. I am very happy to be making 200k a year as an airline pilot and have never paid a union due (nor do I ever intend to). It's not that I don't want better wages and QOL, it's just that I think unions are awful and have no place in the world. Union membership in this country is down from 40% in the 1950's to just under 10% today. One day the airlines will follow suit. Get rid of the seniority system that is holding us hostage. Get rid of unions that hurt the company and don't always look out for your best interest.

The point of my post is to remind you that you are one sustained jump in oil prices, one recession, or one war away from having that profit wiped out. Airlines are naturally very cyclical businesses. Don't get too greedy when the times are good, and you won't get too screwed when the times are tough.
When you admit that you would continue working during a strike, no other arguments need to be made.
