The Special MEC Reserve Account (SMRA, pronounced "smur") is down to less than $2 million, down from somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 million. That's one of the consequences of stretching negotiations across a bridge from the amendable date of our 2006 CBA until now, and it involves a lot of flight pay loss for the entourage. I think there needs to be an accounting for that money, but since it was under the administration you favor, I wonder if you even care how they spent it. Do you?





I don't know what you feel in your pocket, but you have your facts wrong here. The ALPA National Major Contingency Fund (MCF) can be accessed through loans or grants. We would seek and likely receive grants. We've already paid into it.




The first 0.35% of your dues money goes directly into the SMRA.





I didn't hear you asking these questions when your boy was in the head shed. Your shrill cries now are not going to spook people into voting Yes. We have responsible individuals watching the purse strings now, and there will be no problem financing whatever efforts are required to win us the TA we deserve, and we DO deserve much better than this.



I'll address the untruths and smears about me personally after the TA vote closes. Just remember, when you know it to be false and you publish it anyway for the specific purpose of besmirching another's character, there's a legal term that applies.
