Summer Track post graduation
Hey y'all, graduating from Purdue in May. I've already started scoping out flight schools,135, and 91 operators for post graduation employment.
I've got a pretty strong resume having had an internship at Southwest in Flight Ops this past summer. I was one of the final candidates for Delta's Flight operations internship spots for last summer also. My question for your opinions is:
Should I take the 2 and a half months for the Delta internship if I get it and have my foot in the door and have the chance to keep learning? Or should I start chasing time full-time so I can finish my 1000 ASAP and get in the seniority system faster?
The way I see it is, every class I'm missing at a regional is that many more people down the seniority list I will be. That delayed start also potentially applies down the line for moving to a major and being in the seniority pool there. The trade off's though are obvious for the flight internships. I have the desire to be a project pilot down the line. Thanks for your .02!
