I do think the whole exercise serves a useful purpose.

It illustrates and highlights the fact that management is not our friend.
It calls them out.

Its been 10 years since our union did anything like that.
Its long overdue.

By accelerating the non-contract raises in order to avoid giving the pilots a little 3% bump, management has basically spit in our face.

I'm glad they did it. It removes all remaining doubt about Moakism and "constructive engagement".
Now we know where we stand. Management was engaged but ALPA was the only one being constructive. We gave them everything they wanted for a decade. Now that profits are through the roof and they can afford to acknowledge our years of sacrifice and restore some of our losses, they refuse. They ask for more concessions.

I don't think Anderson and Dixon can write any more hearts and flowers letters about how great the pilot group is and how much they appreciate our efforts. Kinda rings hollow when they have just gone out of their way to screw us.
