The thing that fails to get mentioned alot is the lack of leadership in the MECs. I know, if you have a problem then put your name in the hat. Yada, Yada, Yada. But the MEC should reflect the union membership. They should be willing to vote no, instead of following like sheep to whatever the union leaderhip says. If the MEC votes 11-1 on anything, it should be an automatic to pass for the membership. The fact the MEC voted 11-1 and the LOA may or may not pass on the slimmest of margins, indicates the union has lost touch with the membership. This is the most disturbing thing for me.
