It's my belief, (which admittedly, will never be proven or disproven) that AAG GAINED what they believe is a competitive advantage in attracting pilots from a dwindling of candidates and that AAG gave away just barely enough to realize their gain. I also believe that AAG was willing to sweeten the pot if we had voted no,........ because THEY needed to regain/retain their competitive advantage in attracting pilots.
By voting "yes", I believe we gave up increases in pay, signing bonuses, (like ENY and PDT got), or possibly other "incentives". But as I stated earlier, that'll never be proven,...... because we jumped at their first offer.
You wrote "We gave nothing for an improvement to our contract". I believe that we DID give something - we gave our ability to make them do better.
Voting "no" was not "asinine". It's just a difference of opinion.
Why can we both not gain? No new hires are coming here for the flow, that has been proven.
AAG will "do better" when they need to "do better" right now they do not because our classes are full.
Should someone vote no because the company gets something out of it even if it doesn't really affect them?
