Just a word of advice for Vets In Blue...bring lots of copies of your resume. I quickly ran out when I went last November. After all the presentations, questions, etc. the pilots and HR folks all break up and take resumes and talk to the participants. It ends up as each JB person has a cluster of vets around them and you go from one to another talking, getting your resume looked at/evaluated, and they keep them.
If I had to guesstimate how many would be good I'd say 8 or more.
Yes and no. Many of the folks you talk to (the event volunteers) are there only to describe "a day in the life" and answer questions. The only people you want to hand a résumé to are the folks presenting.
Bring backups, but be prepared to be told they will only take one (and they may continue with the March format, which varied from the previous November format by a bit).
