I worked at ABX several years ago. Schedules were pretty good.... week on/week off for the most part. Almost all trips start in ILN -- very few cml tickets. The work "week" usually started on Tue, Wed, or Thur and had a weekend layover. It was real easy to trip trade to try to get the layover city of your choice. You could also trade away your reserve days with a line holder if you could find someone who was willing to sit your reserve. Reserves got used almost every night. I don't remember the number of days off you were guaranteed.
Commuting was relatively easy since no other airline uses ILN. Downside was you could get stuck on a weekend unless you got a ride to CVG or DAY.
Training used to be a nightmare -- "build the airplane" type ground school. I believe it has gotten much better in recent years.
From what my friends say, not much has changed so the above should be current info.
