After reading through a few other threads on this topic, the only thing that causes concern for me regarding the ANG is the likelihood of being able to change units/transfer states. I may be wrong, but I get the impression that Guard units plan on you being in that particular unit for a significant amount of time. My concern is that I'm not exactly sure where civ life/career will take me, but I would say in all likelihood it won't be in the state that I'm in, at least not for the long haul. Is AFRC better suited for someone who may need to transfer units at some point?
