Identify the Real Threat Then Trap the Error
Council 44 Members:
I respect and admire candidate supporters for their unyielding conviction to certain viewpoints, but President Reagan said it best, “
there you go again”.
Why are those who tout their venerable experience the same individuals who have been subject to
recall
or have had to
resign
from committees they chaired? And why do some that have not been subject to recall or resignation omit
restoration
and
reform
in their communications, or worse, consider such concepts “stupid”.
I didn’t start to fly for Delta until 2007. How could I be expected to be present for proceedings in 2005 and 2006? I guess all that experience exempts one from having to conduct a basic fact check. Of course, if one quits a campaign suddenly and abruptly, just prior to a nomination vote, their
credibility
among other things is naturally suspect.
Does experience cause relentless questioning of qualifications ignoring circumstances perhaps to distract from recent history? Two individuals mocked the nomination process by running roughshod through communication tools, designed for
legitimate
candidates, to engage in “campaigns” of fear and smear. One quit (see above) and one failed to appear for our nomination meeting.
Interference
via trickery was the objective and it has a history of being repeated. No wonder many of you are giving serious consideration to alternative organizations for representation!
This nonsense demonstrates the
ongoing disconnect
I identified in my candidacy announcement letter and is the primary reason I have stepped up to campaign for Representative. I am not angry. I am disappointed.
We deserve better and by voting you will be exercising your right to demand an improvement in your representation.
This is why I am seeking your vote.
I do not know everything and I am not afraid to admit it. I do not presume to know more than my fellow line pilot who may choose me for representation nor will I ever tell them how to vote. I have done my homework. I continue to learn. I am not a quitter. I fully comprehend the magnitude of the position I am campaigning for and do not take the associated responsibilities lightly.
I am ready, willing and able to serve.
