NO.
The email to the hiring people triggers your App to be pulled for scoring. If it scores well enough you'll get an interview invite, if not you won't. The email pulls your app from the abyss of 12,000+ (?) apps to be scored.
The email address on the AirlineApps rec is probably irrelevant.
You REALLY want your Delta pilot friend to send and email for you...
