I'm retiring mil and using all my terminal leave and remaining PTDY to set my possible class date. This is not a current dilemma, but could be soon: should you take that interview at airline B if it would eat up a couple of days of PTDY and force a two day slip in availability date and cause you to take a later class date at airline A?
I have to disagree with PA slammer's advice. Just look at what has happened to guys who got a CJO from AA in Oct 2014. Most of them, and all who were offered a CJO after that are still waiting for a class date. If a world event causes hiring to stop (like 911), their CJO will likely never be honored. Now if you already have a class date lined up, you're probably good to go. You could even ask airline B to push your interview back a bit.
