As a captain you know that every day 1Ps just head to the back with out checking in either because of bad gate agents or lack of knowledge about Delta's system.

As a captain you also know that anytime a you a receive a "stay at gate for performance" message followed by a WDR showing a jumpseater that jumpseater must sit in the cockpit. I don't really give 2 $hips if the plane won't fall out of the sky. I follow the rule. Just like I know wearing a hat won't make a better pilot. I still wear it because it is a rule.

Also I am sure you are aware that part of CRM is using all available resources to solve problems. If you don't readily know what resources are available to you then how van you use them?

My original post was simply pointing out an error by another poster. If you don't find them useful that is your right, but don't make stupid post as this one makes you seem like a child.
To be completely honest, I commute (not for long yay!) so I list for JS a LOT and I have never once had a captain ask me to sit in the jumpseat because it said 1P(and yes I always check in!), and it ALWAYS says 1P, they never roll me to non-rev, not once has that ever happened to me despite that the FOM says that they will. But its definitely your prerogative as a captain to say they must sit in the jumpseat if you are concerned it will affect W&B.
