You nailed it. Why do pilots do other folks work while Bendo spews out drivel and free smiles.

Also, some of you instructors need to stop going into the office to do free work on manuals and such. It was embarassing enough having you answer phones in scheduling. Grow a pair and tell Mark O Conner/Jyri to P!ss off.

I would make an initial call, but dispatch is not staffed to deal with phone calls, it actually works better to fix the problem via ACARS. This lets OCC deal with things in order vs random phone calls. My phone call might interrupt the dispatchers attempt to fix a bigger problem.

After more than a decade of service to Spirit, I finally realized that no matter how much I "help" the operation, they (Spirit) will do things their way regardless.
They are making record industry profits on a percentage basis after all. Who am I to differ?

Some of the FO's especially the ones who came from regionals closely connected to their major partner seem to want Spirit to emulate a full service legacy. That's not the business model my friends.

Life will go easier, your blood pressure will go down, your ulcers will heal and your overnights more enjoyable when you realize that the job is to assist the Captain, not manage the company.
