Funny story haha one time I interviewed for a pt 91/135 Hawker job. The company managing the plane I flew for before in their jets pt. 91 regularly. I was actually refered by them and the job was mine. All I had to was meet the owner. The owner said thanks but no thanks because I looked too young. It was purely based on perception. Welcome to the corporate world kid. You're 19, it isn't the end of the world. At 500hrs I was one approach to mins in a fast plane from ending up on the news.
