If I understand you correctly, you are saying a new hire that is hired today will upgrade in 2.5 years? I'll accept that if you can tell me how many more years the FO's on reserve in ORD for the last 4+ years will have to wait to be Captain? Will they be upgrading in 2016?
I'll chime in here. His words were meant to help, hence him explaining the rationalization behind 2.5/6 that certain dense people can't understand. To recap for the millionth time, it's a PROJECTION. Choose to believe it if you like to or not but the math adds up (I would give or take a couple months obviously, my crystal ball is broken.)

That being said, I cannot tell you how many more years until a 4 year RSV FO sees a CA position. Again, it's a projection. By running quick numbers from my end, I would say a year to a year and a half.

So...did those words help and not hurt, my sensitive little PSA friend? Why don't you focus your anger at PDT where they're advertising a 3 to 5 year flow to AA. I'm sorry, but those numbers (especially 3 years) are laughable if looking at a flow of 3/month.
