Yellow fever is required, and is only good for 10 years (though my understanding is that this is a point of debate in the medical field).

Polio, measles, Hep A and DT should be current.

The secondary list is Typhoid, Hep B, Cholera, Varicella, Japanese Encephalitis and Influenza.

Over 50 they recommend Meningococcal and Pneumococcal, though my doc recommended them back when I was 38.

A related issue is insect repellent. You can get Deet wipes at a sporting goods store in season or off of Amazon anytime. Buy a pack and throw them in the bottom of your bag -- you never know where you are going to end up.

If you live in the sticks and don't have a travel clinic nearby the next stop is an infectious disease doc, which will be expensive. Which brings us back to the company credit card. But a newhire will have plenty of time in MIA to sort this, and lots of docs who know the score.
