I fly with tons of captains who commute from SLC. I'm happy that there's a little light forming at the end of the tunnel for them. Most upgraded to MSP and ORD assuming they would never get back to SLC.
My theory is they are beefing up the SLC base for the training bubble that will come when they announce the SLC 175 and those guys start transferring over. They will still have to staff all that CRJ flying out of SLC until several of the 175s come online.
