Everybody says this. We all received a letter explaining the possible claim sale. Short notice, yes, but that was the time frame. I sold my claim, and I was not on the MEC or in their info circle. I did read the letter, and I did frequent the UAL Forum...which paid off BIG TIME. This "leak" is the same ol sh!t, different day. Always happens, always will.
Very true - I had questions and went to an outside source for advice, but I'm sure the MEC had more information than they revealed. I think it was only Bathurst from the MEC that did not sell and that's very telling. The advice I got was "cash is king" and it proved to be correct. That along with the stovepipe debacle is enough for everyone to keep their eyes open and listen to everything that comes out from the MEC when it comes to money and distributions.
