I had heard they didn't let instructors commute. Further more, with the scheduling is it relatively easy to do if so? Thanks for the insight.

There are quite a few commuters, actually- particularly on the 320. You have to have a crashpad, though. Our planner is pretty good at building schedules to the way each person likes it (commuters, me being the night owl, some guys being early risers, and so on).

It's a minimum of 17 events a month- you can do doubles. I've done up to 22 (I live local) and oooh wee was that too much! The paycheck was very good though... I currently live an hour northeast, but am soon moving to the north side of Decatur. The shortened commute will be very welcomed! You get paid the largest equipment you can hold in your seat, or if you can hold captain, it's 777B pay.

Flying is way easier than teaching and less work, though... you've got to be super engaged for the entire time and it is more days worked. I'm flying in December and cannot wait!
