I'm currently working on my resume and beginning to get myself ready for the transition. I was curious what anyone thinks my chances are for any Major or Legacy? And I am looking for extreme honesty.
Thanks.
Chances will be a whole lot better as soon as you check the 121 bucket. I know several who got a call to interview at a major during or shortly after training at a regional. Beware SWA/FDX/UPS count zero helo time. Others kind of count it, but JB likes it the most (1 for 1). You'll be a lot more competitive with a jet type and some jet/121 time IMO. With your retirement, a short stay in the regionals wouldn't be that painful if you had to. Network now, go to Vets in Blue if JB appeals to you. Currency/recency is also important if you are sitting on staff somewhere not flying much. Get your apps together...can't hurt to try.
