Here's another complication about a Delta buy back. Since Xjt has legacy ASA flying as American Eagle that complicates a sale back to Delta. Not that Delta doesn't have the money to pay a contract cancellation. I'm sure they would have to pony up some $$$$$ to AA since they wouldn't dare have a wholly owned flying for a competitor. I'm referring to the ASA CRJ flying in DFW. If it wasn't for that, a sale of the Legacy ASA side would be much easier, but more consolidation in the Regional sector seems to be on the horizon. It could take a year or more for the next wave to happen, but it will be interesting to watch - hopefully from the window while at a Legacy

That's an easy problem to solve. Buy some ERJs from an operator who can't staff them, then give them to XJET to replace the ones United is taking for and the lift is almost instantly replaced. Or, I'm sure Skyw will repaint some 200s in return for a few more 175s. Not a big hurdle.
