United, who just got a deal done early, also has a COO who answers to the board, and all they want is profits. Delta did the same thing a while back. All airlines have that structure. Not that I'm expecting a TA by dinner time today, but I just think there are a lot of different variables that affect motivation. Just saying, "because an airline wants profits they'll always drag it out" is probably a bit too simplistic.
