This place pays my paycheck. If they find a way to ensure a supply of pilots during a shortage, good! This is a sign of proactive management, as opposed to being reactive. That's a good thing guys. It means we might get to retire from this place. I sure don't want to start over.
Thats going to be your argument? That this is because of a looming pilot shortage? You know how you never have a shortage of applications at your airline. A competitive compensation package and a strong contract. Plain and simple. Any shortage will stop at the regional level before it ever effects JetBlue.
Trust me I want the same as you do, to retire as a Jetblue pilot. I love my job and I don't have any applications out to the legacies. That's why I hate to see this waste.
