You're right, knowingly putting yourself on welfare is sh*tty, so don't do it. Nobody is making you. My first year W2: $22,800.
Also, if you're the sole breadwinner supporting a family or in massive debt and choose to come to a regional, ****** you. There are tons of better paying non-121 flying jobs out there.
EDIT: I've determined from Skyler02's other posts that he sucks worse that ScottyDo. Just quit yo, and stop with the pathetic crusade against your bad decision.
I can tell your under 35 years old and you weren't around when some of us had to pay to fly right seat and we're caught in a wave that we didn't ask for. Talk to some of the old timers and get their experiences. You should feel blessed your in an industry that is about to have demand and great rewards. Some of us were just born at the wrong time. Before you bash other people and tell them about their financial situation know the history of the industry. jump on the wave and ride it out and enjoy it you are young enough to do it, myself and others have been waiting decades just to live the dream you are living today, I'm just thankful I got a chance to at least try it. I'm not trying to disrespect you or anything like that. The person you are bashing spent the last couple of years doing something else that was not their passion waiting for an opportunity to fly for a 121 carrier and live that dream you are living today.
