+1. You nailed it, Schwank. There is some tool on the widget Facebook page crowing about how ALPA got one of its issues to a vote in the Senate. Never mind that the bill will be vetoed, and that a vote would have happened either way because corporations were behind it. This clown gave full credit to the ALPA PAC.

The only chances we have of influencing Congress are on the issues we happen to share with A4A or the Delta Air Lines PAC (I'm waiting to see what high-priced wh0re--I mean lobbyist--the company hires as "SVP of Congressional Relations.) We have ZERO meaningful influence on issues we oppose the management on. Exhibit A: FAR 117.

Anyway, to have a voice with our legislators, we need at least one of these:

- Numbers. A high percentage of registered, likely voters. We don't have numbers.

- Money. A ****load of it. Not a couple hundred a year each. Unless we agree to tithe our paychecks to the ALPA PAC, we are irrelevant. We don't have money.

- Some way to exploit or invent victimization or entitlement. "Pilot Lives Matter" won't cut it.

I used to contribute to and support the ALPA PAC. But after looking at the money thrown around by the ME3, A4A, and others...we have zero influence. Sure, the lowlife politicians on Capitol Hill will pat us on the head, pretend to listen, and cash our checks...and do exactly what they were going to do before we gave them money.

"Call to action." What a joke. It's all a ploy to get the money rolling into ALPA PAC. How much are we paying for overhead there, anyway?

p.s. the latest number on the TA sales job is $1,700,000...or about $130 per pilot.
