Since getting laid off, I have been full time in the guard, sort of flying Blackhawks but mostly flying my desk (except for a year over there). Since getting home I am sick of my desk, and miss flying - so I'm thinking about going back to the commuters. I'm interested in a couple of street captain jobs - especially Big Sky 'cause I live in New England. Colgan, maybe, too.

The question is: am I an idiot? Should I apply to Xjet or the like even though the upgrade is long? I have good ins at UAL and AA, and wouldn't mind Airtran or JB. Big sky would be about a 50% pay cut - so would Xjet first year.

What does everyone think? Thanx.
Good background. Get a corp job getting a little more PIC...then apply for Legacy carriers skipping regional. Good luck to you.
