You can leave ELP five minutes before show time and be on time.
In short, both of these hotels are dirty and noisy. And the internet is awful so good luck updating your Jepps and company manuals if they are expiring. Lots of outside noise from rooms facing the street traffic (good luck getting a room facing away from the noise at either hotel) and in ELP you WILL wakeup at 4am when a heavy takes off and rattles the window of your room facing the airport. Also I don't enjoy listening to the occupants of the adjacent room having sex or watching tv while I'm trying to fall asleep. I rarely ever feel well rested after staying at either hotel, and on top of that they just don't clean the GD rooms. I've woken up with spider bites on two separate occasions in ABQ. I have documentation of food and all kinds of crap on the floor around the bed and in the bathrooms at ELP.

I'm not asking to stay in the Grand Hyatt every night, but a reasonable standard with clean, comfortable accommodations so crew members can have a useful rest period and not be subject to bed bugs and other insects. Additional points if it is in a decent part of town where you can feel safe walking around at night to grab something to eat. Something like a Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn would be a good baseline hotel for us. Clean, decent beds, and less of the white trash drama you get from being around the other customers at the "budget" hotels.
