Our hotel committee is doing a good job these days of communicating issue with bad hotels. We have had a few crew members (FAs) mess things up at some of the more well liked ones forcing us out (rumored) but thats a different story for a different time.

Overall, once BHM was taken care of, I cant think of a place that I actually mind going to. Many I actually enjoy.

That's the REAL general consensus among the crews.
Glad to hear DFW is improving, but that isn't the case up in IAD. The REAL consensus is that the majority of our lousy hotels haven't changed. I will say I have been in contact with the hotel committee, and they have always maintained communication, and in my opinion have been honest about what they are trying to do about the lousy hotels. Unfortunately though, all the recent hotel changes have been for the worse not the better, with the exception of maybe CMH. It is just frustrating that the really bad hotels like CLT and SDF haven't changed in the time I have been at Mesa, even with all the complaints.

I still like to follow my rule of thumb. If we are the only airline crew staying at a hotel, or if other crew members stay there before their trip because its so cheap, we probably shouldn't be staying there. Obviously a few exceptions, but generally works out to be true.
