We are not "overstaffed" per se. People throw that word around too much on this forum. We are what is known as "front loaded".
Semantics.
Front loaded = extra staffing for future planned losses.
In other words, we are deliberately overstaffed with the expectation of future attrition.
Call it what you want, it's a good move on management's part to keep the pilots in their back pockets for the planned movement. Too bad that our QOL has to take such a brutal hit to make it work.
