Maybe that's true for the all-civilian regional/corporate/charter pilots, but almost no mil pilots have those hours after even 20+ years, so your typical mil pilot getting hired will probably have closer to 2500-4000 hours. I have heard that the recent 100 hours in a year is true no matter what your background.
