Let me ask you a question, do you think it's ok to have to talk to a duty pilot for not extending? no where in the regs does it say you have to provide a reason, yet we are intimidated with this every time. If your intimidated for telling a duty pilot you will not extend because you are fatigued I hope your not a captain here. And yes I have refused extensions and got paid for them. Me, personally, I just tell them I'm fatigued and then either go to the hotel or drive home. It is BS that are crew schedulers might want you to talk to a duty pilot but I just tell them go ahead, connect me to them so I can tell them I'm fatigued (It's always ended there). No one here in management will tell you to go if you drop the "F" bomb. And for all of you that say they will, report them to the FAA if it happens and it will be their last time doing it.
