I'm around 6 months and very much still on reserve. Pretty senior on it yet never fly despite wanting to. I have absolutely no idea why there are so many people in ORD on this plane. Either they know something we don't (new flying coming?) or maybe they over planned for attrition. It's a great plane with long legs, good overnights, and great training but I would take the CRJ if I were starting now. It's no fun commuting in to sit around making only 76 hours.
When I was in training my instructor came in smiling saying he got off a conference call saying we were going to be awarded Some of Republics UA flying in 2016 on the ERJ.... We will see if that holds true and when it happens. (Maybe this is why we are sitting really fat on reserves right now..)
